Macon signs letter with WVU basketball

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- West Virginia University basketball coach Bob Huggins announced Tuesday that Elijah Macon has signed a national letter of intent for the 2013-14 academic year.

Macon, a 6-foot-9, 250-pound power forward from Columbus, Ohio, is currently attending Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, N.H.. Last year, Macon attended Huntington Prep, where he averaged 15 points and nine rebounds.

Macon was ranked as the No. 1 junior prospect in Ohio by Ohio Prep Spotlight magazine and is ranked as the No. 44 best player in the 2012 class by ESPNU.
