  • RAVENSWOOD 68, DODDRIDGE 30: Hannah Murray scored her 1,000th career point as the Red Devils earned a home win.
  • Murray finished the game with 22 points and 15 rebounds, while Taylor Youell chipped in 15 and Melonna Carmichael 13. Emily Cade netted 14 for Doddridge County.

    Boys basketball

  • WYOMING EAST 87, PIKEVIEW 58: Brett Bowling scored 28 points in three quarters of work as the homestanding Warriors cruised to a win. Austin Canada added 15 points for Wyoming East (1-0) and Josh Tunstalle scored 13.
  • Zach Meadows paced PikeView (0-1) with 19 points and Logan McKinney chipped in 13.

  • GREEN. EAST 77, JAMES MONROE 29: Rondale Watson scored a game-high 25 points to go with seven steals and Bryce Woodliff finished with 16 points, five assists and six steals to lead Greenbrier East to a win at home.
  • Obi Romeo led the Spartans (2-0) with 12 rebounds in the win. For James Monroe (0-1), Chord Settle was the leading scorer with six points.

  • CROSS LANES 60, VAN 30: Tyler Corbin scored a game-high 32 points, including seven 3-pointers (one shy of the school record) as visiting Cross Lanes Christian doubled-up Van.
  • Grant Humphrey added 12 points in the win for the Warriors. Brandon Elswick scored a team-high 13 points for Van.
