Prep roundup: Bellamy leads Winfield boys over Lincoln Co.

Bear Bellamy made five 3-pointers and led Winfield with 23 points in the Generals' 81-27 boys basketball win against visiting Lincoln County.

Also for Winfield (2-0), Chris Turner scored 16 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, Zach Fisher had 13 points and John Hodges finished with 10.

Andrew Davis led Lincoln County (0-3) with 13 points.

  • CHAPMANVILLE 42, HOOVER 24: Mackenzie Martin and Denver Adkins scored 14 points apiece as Chapmanville (1-0) earned a home win over Herbert Hoover. Cody Morris had points for the Huskies (0-1).
  • CALVARY 54, WOOD COUNTY 51:Mitchell Harman hit a go-ahead bucket with five seconds to play to lift visiting Calvary Baptist to a come-from-behind win at Wood County Christian. Trent Spears led Calvary (6-0) with 24 points with Jace Heller adding 11 and Harman finishing with 10 points. For Wood County Christian (1-3), Jamie Arnold had 16 points and Patrick Goff scored 12.
  • GREEN. EAST 71, ALLEGHANY 41: Rodale Watson recorded a double-double with 21 points and 10 boards as Greenbrier East downed visiting Alleghany (Va.). Obi Romeo also contributed 11 points and 15 rebounds for the Spartans (3-0). Davon Smith had 18 points for Alleghany (1-1).
  • ROANE 65, CALHOUN 34: Jacob Neal poured in 21 points to pace host Roane County. Tyler Harper contributed 12 for the Raiders (3-0). For Calhoun County (0-3), Ryan Harper had 11 points.
  • VALLEY 67, FAYETTEVILLE 26: Arik McGinnis posted 15 points for Valley in a road win. Raeshawn Breckenridge added 11 points for the Greyhounds (1-0). Zach Semple had eight points for Fayetteville (0-2).
  • VICTORY CHRISTIAN 55, ELK VALLEY 51: Chase Cook's 14 points led three players in double figures for visiting Victory Christian Academy. Daniel Cannon added 13 points and Nathan Richmond 12 for Victory, which outscored Elk Valley Christian 34-23 in the second half. Jordan Elkins and Trace Suttle tossed in 17 points apiece for Elk Valley (1-2) while Daniel Beverly had 16.
