Rachel Ward erupted for a career-high 40 points, including seven buckets from behind the 3-point arc, as George Washington rolled to a 88-64 home win over Nitro in girls basketball Tuesday.
Jordan Marshall scored 12 points and Bethany Romine 11 for the Huskies (4-1), who will play the Sherman-Liberty Raleigh winner for the championship at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Stevie White had three points for the Bulldogs.
PRINCETON 68, PIKEVIEW 54: Mckenzie Akers exploded for 35 points as Princeton cruised to a home win. Marissa Mullins also chipped in 19 for the Tigers. Hope Nester led PikeView with 15 points.
