MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- West Virginia officially acknowledged Thursday that it has received national letters of intent from four mid-year junior college transfers who will enroll for the spring semester and be able to take part in spring practice.

The four are running back Dreamius Smith from Butler County (Kan.) Community College, wide receiver Kevin White from Lackawanna (Pa.) Community College and two players from Itawamba Community College in Mississippi - safety Terrell Pinson and receiver Ronald Carswell.

The signings were known through various other sources on Wednesday, the first day of the mid-year junior college signing period, but WVU had not officially announced them.
