CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- George Washington senior guard Luke Eddy poured in 44 points to lead the Patriots to a 63-51 win over visiting Winfield in boys high school basketball Wednesday night.
Eddy, who has committed to play in college at Elon, also had nine rebounds, three assists, three steals and one block as the Patriots improved to 5-2.
Zach Fisher scored 29 points to lead Winfield (4-3), while Chris Turner added 13.GREENBRIER EAST 61, WOODROW WILSON 59: Rondale Watson scored 26 points as visiting Greenbrier East eked out a win in a battle of unbeaten teams. Bryce Woodliff scored 16 points and handed out eight assists for the Spartans (9-0).
Andrew Johnson and Chase Hancock each scored 16 points to pace the Flying Eagles (3-1) while Donte Nabors scored 13 and Nicholas Deems 10. Hancock and Deems pulled down 14 and 12 rebounds, respectively.CABELL MIDLAND 66, LINCOLN COUNTY 54: Dakota Leonard scored 13 points while Keegan Adkins finished with 12 and Sawyer Beckett scored 10 to lead Cabell Midland to the win at Lincoln County.

Mitchem also had 16 rebounds for the Patriots while guard Cody Monroe finished with nine points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. GirlsHURRICANE 47, RIPLEY 43, OT: Taneisha Sturdavent knocked down two free throws with two seconds left to send the game to overtime and Hurricane (4-2) escaped with a home win.
Sturdavent finished with 13 points and 16 rebounds while Callie McClanahan chipped in 11 points and Abby Watson 10 points and 12 rebounds. Chelsey Hager led the Vikings (0-8) with 13 points.SCOTT 69, HOOVER 39: Landyn McKinney finished with 21 points to lead Scott (5-2) to the win against visiting Herbert Hoover.
Ali Whitman had 12 points and Jaimee Dotson chipped in 10 for the Skyhawks.
