WVU SPORTS: West Virginia women's soccer player Bry McCarthy has been selected to play for the Canadian Women's National Team in the Yongchuan Cup Four-Nation Women's Tournament in China.
Canada opens play against China on Saturday before a Monday match against Korea Republic. The final game of the tournament is against Norway Jan. 16. Canada comes off a bronze-medal effort at the 2012 London Olympic Games.
ATHLETE DAY: West Virginia Wesleyan will hold its annual Bobcat Prospective Athlete Day on Saturday.
The Office of Admission would like to invite all students interested in playing NCAA Division II varsity athletics to attend the event. It will begin at 9 a.m. with the check-in at the Virginia Thomas Law Center for the Performing Arts and will include presentations, sessions with individual team coaches and a tour of campus. MU CLINIC: Registration is now open for Marshall Athletics 16th annual Sweetheart Clinic on Feb. 3.
The clinic is open to girls ages 4-12, and participants have the opportunity to learn developmental skills in the nine women's sports offered at MU. Participants must pre-register through HerdZone.com.
