WVU's Smith taking part in NFL training program

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- West Virginia University quarterback Geno Smith is one of 35 college football players taking part in IMG Academy's NFL Combine/Training Program in Bradenton, Fla.

Athletes in the program will be immersed in position-specific training and will receive education and training in areas that will prepare them for the upcoming NFL combine and draft. Those areas of training include speed and movement, physical conditioning, sports nutrition, mental conditioning, visiting training and communications.

Others participating in the program include Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o and Florida defensive tackle Shariff Floyd.
