Lamar Mallory led Glenville (9-6, 5-5 West Virginia Conference) with 22 points and 15 rebounds (both game-highs) while Kevin Gray helped the Pioneers' cause with 15 points.
For State (6-10, 4-7), Jalen Walker scored 21 points and Anton Hutchins finished with 11. Raymon Austin led the Yellow Jackets with six rebounds while Walker led WVSU with three assists.
GLENVILLE 82, W.VA. STATE 75: Glenville's women's basketball team won its eighth consecutive game and moved into first place in the West Virginia Conference with the win against West Virginia State (4-10, 4-7 WVC).
The Pioneers (14-2, 9-1 WVC) were led by 21 point from Keyona Simmons while Kenyell Goodson and Ginny Mills each finished with 12 points for Glenville.
For State, India Taste and Brittany Holestien each scored 17 points to lead the Yellow Jackets.

The Red Storm (6-13) also got a game-high 25 points and four steals from Kate Hammond, while Tinesha Taylor added 12 points off the bench. Mashya White poured in 25 points for the Golden Bears (9-10) while Courtney Sturdivant added 17 points and 11 boards.

nnWVU SPORTS: TCU defeated the West Virginia swim teams Saturday, with the women falling 160-140 and the men's team losing 160-131.
Rachael Burnett continued her impressive career with the Mountaineers, beginning with a win in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 10:06.12. She also won the 200 free and the 500 free, with times of 1:51.63, and 5:00.40, respectively.
For the men's swimmers, the Mountaineers swept the top three spots in the 200 free, with Hugh Simmonds winning with a time of 1:42.09, Ross Glegg followed close behind in second (1:42.26) and Nathan Cobbe took third (1:42.97).
In its first Big 12 dual meet in program history, the WVU wrestling team was defeated by No. 2 Oklahoma State, 36-3 at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater, Okla. Nathan Pennesi (141 pounds) scored the lone win for the Mountaineers.The No. 1-ranked WVU rifle team trumped No. 8 Nebraska 4,689-4,661 Saturday at the WVU Rifle Range. WVU (10-0) defeated the Cornhuskers (7-5) in both guns, winning smallbore, 2,324-2309 and air rifle 2,365-2352.nnWVU FAN CLUB: The Charleston WVU Fan Club will meet at Harding's Restaurant in Mink Shoals on Thursday at 7 p.m.
