CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- University of Charleston football players Shaquille Williams and Marcus Schofield were booked in South Central Regional Jail Friday and are being charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

Williams, a former George Washington athlete, and Schofield, a former Wyoming East athlete, each had his name removed from UC's roster and coach Pat Kirkland confirmed both had been dismissed from the team.

Williams led the Golden Eagles with 480 yards and five touchdowns on 37 catches last year while Schofield appeared in only one game.

Bail was set at $25,000 each.
