Rawlinson also handed out 16 assists for the Golden Bears while Marino hit 11 of 16 shots, including 4 of 9 from long range. Brandon Burgraff donated 11 points and Terrale Clark had 10 points for Tech. Casey Nye's 17 points paced three players in double figures for Southern Virginia.

  • SWIMMING: Wheeling Jesuit swimmers Kuba Skrzypczak and Paige Carpenetti were named Appalachian Swimming Conference men's and women's swimmers of the week, respectively, Wednesday.

    Skrzypczak, a freshman from Poland, set a pool record and won four events to lead the Cardinals to a 161-100 win in the season finale at Washington and Jefferson College. He swam the first leg of the 200-yard medley relay team, which set the pool record, then swept the 50 and 100 backstroke events and the 400 individual medley.

    Carpenetti, a junior from Cambridge, Ohio, swam the opening leg of the 200 medley relay, which took second, then won 50 and 100 backstroke events and the 200 freestyle relay.

  • WVU RIFLE: West Virginia University's rifle team maintained its hold on the nation's top ranking in the College Rifle Coaches Association poll. The Mountaineers (10-1) have been No. 1 for nine straight weeks. TCU was second followed by Kentucky, Alaska-Fairbanks and Army.
