HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Marshall formally announced Wednesday the hiring of former Tennessee-Chattanooga defensive assistant Adam Fuller as linebackers coach.

Fuller takes over the position that Chris Rippon, MU's previous defensive coordinator, tutored. That likely puts new coordinator Chuck Heater working with the secondary along with returning safeties coach Todd Hartley.

The Herd has one coach to hire on the offensive side after the recent departure of wide receivers coach Gerad Parker to Purdue.
