CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- West Virginia forward Kevin Noreen was chosen as a 2013 Academic All-Big 12 honoree, the league office announced Thursday.
Noreen, a sports management major from Minneapolis, was the only Mountaineer named to the squad.
Texas Tech led all teams with five honorees, including four on the first team. Fifteen were selected to the first team while seven were named to the second team.
First-team members have maintained a 3.20 grade-point average or better while second- team selections hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA.
