WVU signs running back from Florida
Advertiser

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- West Virginia added its 26th football recruit Friday when Jacky Marcellus signed his national letter of intent.

Marcellus, a running back from Immokalee, Fla., was among those expected to sign last week when the NCAA's signing period began, but delayed his signing. Marcellus missed Immokalee's final three games of the season, including the Florida 5A state title game, because of a knee injury. He had earlier in the season missed other games because of the same knee.

As a junior, the 5-foot-8, 175-pounder had 1,438 yards from scrimmage, including 747 receiving yards. He is seen as a potential slot receiver or running back for West Virginia.
