McKenzie Ball added 13 points for the Dots (5-18), who will take on No. 3 Nicholas County (17-3) at approximately 8 p.m. Wednesday at Poca.
"It's huge for this program,'' said Poca first-year coach Kenny Sayre, who lost starter Madi McGrew about midway through the season.
"Down the stretch, we just hit a couple of big 3s and were taking the ball to the basket. We got up on them and didn't allow them to shoot those 3s. They were taking them, but we had a hand in their face. We handled the pressure and pulled one out.''

Wood blocked a last-second shot attempt in the lane to seal the victory.
