WVC roundup: UC picks up 72-64 victory at Pitt Johnstown

Gabby Flinchum scored a game-high 19 points to lead the Rams (14-13), who will play No. 2 West Liberty at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in a quarterfinal. Jimyse Brown added 12 and 11 rebounds for Shepherd and Johnson ended with 11 points.

Shae Mebane had 17 points and 15 rebounds for the Big Blues (13-13) and Charity Harris scored 12.

  • A-B 58, D&E 54: No. 13 Alderson-Broaddus captured its first WVC tournament victory since 1999 as it defeated No. 4 Davis & Elkins at the McDonnell Center in Elkins.
  • Sophomore Leah Hurst tallied 20 points and was 6 for 13 from the field for the Battlers (8-19) while Cayla Rhodes produced five blocked shots and scored 11 points. Page Turner scored 11 points for the Senators (15-12).

    The Battlers will head to Charleston and face No. 5 Seton Hill at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

  • SETON HILL 78, CONCORD 65: No. 12 Concord's season came to an end in a  loss at No. 5 Seton Hill.
  • Seton Hill (17-12) was paced by Katie Gattuso with a double-double of 31 points and 21 rebounds while Tiara Stossel chipped in 17 points. Stephanie Wagner led Concord (7-22) with a season-high 21 points, nine assists and two steals.

    Seton Hill will battle No. 13 Alderson-Broaddus at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
