Roundup: Frazer helps Mountaineers snap losing streak

Designated hitter Matt Frazer batted 4 for 5 with two home runs and five RBIs as West Virginia ended a three-game losing streak with an 8-7 victory over Pitt on Tuesday at Charles L. Cost Field in Morgantown.

The Mountaineers (7-9) finished with 13 hits, including three from first baseman Ryan McBroom and two from left fielder Jacob Rice. Rice added two runs, while McBroom drove in one. WVU left-hander Zach Bargeron lasted 11/3 innings, allowing one run on one hit with one strikeout and two walks.

  • GRALEY TO FAIRMONT: Will Graley, a 6-foot-3, 265-pound lineman for George Washington, will be playing next season at Fairmont State.

    Graley, a three-year letterman for the Patriots, is expected to play on the offensive line for the Falcons. He helped GW run for more than 3,400 yards each of the past two seasons.
