Scooter Farmer singled home the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning as host Herbert Hoover remained undefeated on the season with a 9-8 victory over Winfield in high school baseball Thursday.
Farmer finished with three hits and two RBIs for the Huskies (16-0), while Ryan Shamblin and Hunter White had three hits each. David Sneeringer went 3 for 4 with a triple and three RBIs for the Generals (9-12), and Josh Bumgarner contributed two hits and drove home a run.
Andy Hoyer had three hits, including a double and a home run, and drove in three runs for Charleston Catholic.
Cam Cottrill added a hit and drove in a run for the Dots (12-5) and Skyler Vealey doubled. Antonio Brown went 2 for 3 with a double for the Black Eagles, while Jonathan Cline had a hit and an RBI.
Alex Somerville and Tylun Campbell each had two hits for the Big Blacks (12-6). J.R. Stricklen went 2 for 3 with an RBI for Sissonville.
Levi Jordan, Nick Gunter and Bradley Harris each doubled for the Bison (3-8).
Nick Janutollo also had two hits and drove home a run for the Tigers (9-6). Brady Wilkinson and Aaron Halstead both went 2 for 3 for the Warriors (6-9).
