WVU baseball team to face Kansas in Beckley

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- West Virginia will get a crack at one of the Big 12's best as it opens a three-game series against Kansas at Linda K. Epling Stadium at 6:30 p.m. today.

The Jayhawks (25-15 overall, 9-6 Big 12) are second in the conference behind Oklahoma after winning their last three Big 12 series by taking two of three from Oklahoma State, Texas, and Texas Tech.

The Mountaineers (24-18, 6-6) enter this weekend hot, having won seven of their last nine games.

Both teams will run out aces tonight as Thomas Taylor (4-0, 2.47 ERA) will get the nod for Kansas and Harrison Musgrave (6-1, 2.70) will start for WVU.
