Justice gives $5 million for MU indoor facility
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Jim Justice, owner of The Greenbrier resort, has been revealed as the donor of a $5 million gift toward Marshall University's new Indoor Athletic Facility.
Justice's donation was revealed Friday, before groundbreaking for the long-sought building. Originally, the gift had been attributed to an anonymous donor.
"My wife, Cathy, and I are proud to be a part of this great day at Marshall," Justice said. "We met there and our daughter, Jill, earned her degree there. And I mean it when I say I love Marshall more than you'll ever know."
The university says $15 million has been raised toward the $20 million price tag for the indoor practice facility, a new athletic Hall of Fame, a student-athlete academic center and a sports medicine center.
