WVU baseball alums hold reunion at APP
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A group of former West Virginia University baseball players moved part of its annual reunion to Power Park Friday in conjunction with the WVU-Oklahoma game.
The group, expected to number 13 or 14 according to local attorney, group organizer and former player Bill Smith, was comprised of Mountaineer players from the 1960-62 teams.
They came from as far away as Houston, that being former shortstop from Welch, Tom Stepp, a team captain. Others came from Virginia, North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
The group, which normally holds its reunion in Morgantown, plans to attend a dinner tonight at Paterno's at the Park.
