CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- With the release of Conference USA's football television schedule, Marshall will have at least seven games televised.
The expanding Fox Sports Media Group is airing three games, including two road contests set for Thursday nights: Oct. 24 at Middle Tennessee and Nov. 14 at Tulsa, both at 7:30 pm. Fox also has the Nov. 23 game at Florida International, at a time to be announced.
CBS Sports Network also has three MU home games: the Aug. 31 season opener against Miami (Ohio) at 7 p.m., the Nov. 2 home game against Southern Mississippi (12:30 p.m.) and the Friday, Nov. 29 season finale against East Carolina (noon).
Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast will air MU's home game Nov. 9 against Alabama-Birmingham, with time to be announced. CSS is not available on Suddenlink cable, but such games were picked up by WCHS, Channel 8 or WVAH, Channel 11 last season.
The Herd's remaining five games have not been selected for television yet, though the Sept. 21 game at Virginia Tech stands to be carried on some ESPN platform.
C-USA announced a confirmed schedule of more than 50 TV games - at least 20 on Fox Sports Media, 13 on CBS Sports, 11 on CSS and the league championship game on Dec. 7.
Fox Sports Media includes Fox Sports Net, Fox College Sports and the new Fox Sports 1, debuting in August. C-USA officials said at least 10 of the Fox games will air on the new network.
