CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Steve Crosier, a teacher and assistant baseball coach at Nitro, will return to the Tampa Bay Rays organization as a strength and conditioning coach this summer.
Crosier will report to the team's Port Charlotte, Fla., training facility next Sunday and then return to a position with the Princeton Rays in the Appalachian League, a spot he held in 2011.
It will mark Crosier's third year with the Rays organization and his eighth in pro baseball. The first five were with the Mets. He also served as hitting coach last year for the Beckley-based West Virginia Miners of the Prospect League.
