Randy McCurry went 3 for 4 with an RBI as Oklahoma State upended West Virginia 7-4 in a Big 12 game Thursday in Stillwater, Okla.
Jason Hursh (6-4) earned the win for the Cowboys (38-13), giving up three runs on five hits over six innings while striking out five. Brendan McCurry got his eighth save.
West Virginia (30-24) was paced by Jacob Rice and Matt Frazer, both contributing a pair of hits.
Dan Dierdorff took the loss for the Mountaineers, allowing seven runs on 10 hits over seven innings.
WVU will continue its three-game series with Oklahoma State tonight at 7:05.
Eric Escobedo drove in both runs for Marshall with a double in the first inning. Wayland Moore (2-4) gave up three earned runs on five hits in the losing effort. Rice starter Austin Kubitza struck out seven in the win.
Marshall will play Rice in the second game of the series at 7:05 tonight.
