Man's Ken Lacy shot a two-round total of 140 to claim the first West Virginia Senior Open championship Tuesday at Guyan Golf & Country Club in Huntington.
The Triadelphia Country Club pro shot two rounds of 70 to win the championship by nine strokes.
In the Silver Division, Cross Lanes' Tom Spriggs shot a 78 Tuesday to win the title. Mason's Gary Roush and Charleston's Allen Bailes tied at 153 Tuesday and went into a sudden-death playoff in the Gold Division, where Bailes came out victorious on the first playoff hole.
MARSHALL SPORTS: The starting times for Marshall's football games against Gardner-Webb, Texas-San Antonio, and UAB were announced Tuesday.
The Thundering Herd will host Gardner-Webb at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 7 during its Hall of Fame weekend. The matchup against UTSA will serve as Marshall's homecoming game and will be played at 2 p.m. on Oct. 5. The Nov. 9 contest versus UAB will also be at 2 p.m.
Ballou led Marshall in batting average (.328), on-base percentage (.438), slugging percentage (.433), hits (66), walks (37), doubles (17), runs (40) and stolen bases (13). Blair was named C-USA pitcher of the week twice this season.
