Power game suspended

The grounds crew pulls out the tarp when rain struck Appalachian Power Park Wednesday night.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The West Virginia Power's matchup against the Delmarva Shorebirds was suspended prior to the fourth inning due to inclement weather Wednesday night at Appalachian Power Park.

The game will be resumed at 6:05 p.m. today, with the Shorebirds leading 1-0 heading into the fourth inning, and will be played to the full nine innings. The regularly scheduled game between the Power (32-26) and Delmarva will begin after the conclusion of the suspended game and will be a seven-inning contest.
