3 runs in 12th carry Power past Greensboro 6-3
GREENSBORO, N.C. - West Virginia scored three runs in the top of the 12th inning as the Power earned a 6-3 win over the host Greensboro Grasshoopers Friday night.
Singles from D.J. Crumlich, Stetson Allie and Kawika Emsley-Pai, along with a Greensboro error and wild pitch, led to the extra-inning uprising for the Power (36-32).
Barrett Barnes went 2 for 6 for West Virginia while Eric Wood added a pair of hits, including a double.
Ryan Hafner (4-0) secured the victory while Jhondaniel Medina earned his first save of the season.
Anthony Gomez and Cody Keefer had two hits apiece for the Grasshoppers (32-35). Jheyson Manzuela (2-2) was tabbed with the loss.
The Power will continue its four-game series with Greensboro at 7 tonight.
