KANNAPOLIS, N.C. - Walker Gourley went 2 for 4 and drove in a run as the West Virginia Power downed Kannapolis 3-1 Tuesday at NorthEast Stadium, snapping the Power's five-game losing streak.
Max Moroff also contributed offensively with a pair of hits for the Power (9-8). Tyler Glasnow (5-2) threw six strong innings for the win, allowing no runs on three hits while striking out seven. Ryan Hafner earned his second save of the season.
The Intimidators (7-12) only managed four hits. Braulio Ortiz (0-4) was tabbed with the loss, giving up two runs on three hits with four walks and four strikeouts.
West Virginia continues the three-game series with Kannapolis at 7:05 tonight.
