MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- West Virginia University's 17 athletic teams will display a logo honoring the state's Sesquicentennial during the 2013-14 season.
WVU says the logo will be unveiled Saturday during the football team's home opener Saturday against William & Mary.
The logo has the state's outline with the number 150 in the middle. It will be displayed on the backs of football helmets.
Other WVU athletic teams will use the logo depending on their uniforms. Some will have stickers and other teams will use patches.
For West Virginia's 100th birthday celebration in 1963, kicker Chuck Kinder wore the No. 100 jersey.
