Four different players found the back of the net as the No. 18 West Virginia women's soccer team earned a 4-3 win at No. 9 Baylor on Sunday.
Cari Price, Kelsie Maloney, Kadeisha Buchanan, and Kate Schwindel each scored a goal as the Mountaineers (8-2-2 overall, 2-0 Big 12) snapped a 31-game unbeaten streak for the Bears (8-1-2, 1-1).
MU WOMEN LOSE: Johanna Liney booted in a goal in the 78th minute, sending Alabama-Birmingham to a 1-0 win at Marshall on Sunday. The loss ended a three-match unbeaten streak for the Thundering Herd (6-3-1 overall, 1-1 Conference USA).
MU MEN'S GOLF WINS: Freshman Clark Robinson shot a 5-under-par 66 in the final round and had a three-day total of 210 to earn the individual champion award and lead Marshall to a team victory at the Patriot Intercollegiate on Sunday at Lorton, Va.
WVU FOOTBALL: Defensive coordinator Keith Patterson has been recognized by Athlon as the national coordinator of the week after helpint the Mountaineers knock off Oklahoma State 30-21 Saturday in Morgantown.
Clint Trickett, making his first start as a Mountaineer, was named offensive champion. Shaq Rowell was defensive champion and Michael Molinari received the special teams award. Other winners included Rushel Shell (offensive scout champion) and Rick Greenfield (defensive scout champion).
