CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Anthony Bonamico ran for 227 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries to lead No. 2 Bridgeport past No. 15 Roane County 54-20 in a Class AA first-round playoff game at Wayne Jamison Field Friday night in Bridgeport.
The Indians (10-1) will play host to No. 7 Fairmont Senior next weekend. Date and time will be announced Sunday.
The Raiders (7-4) gave the Indians an early scare as Steven McGinnis returned the opening kickoff 82 yards for a touchdown. But three plays later, Bonamico scored on a 42-yard run, propelling the Indians to a night of domination.
Roane County was held to negative-6 yards rushing in the first half. The Indians, meanwhile, scored on four of their first five possessions.
Bonamico added TD runs of 47 and 48 to bring his season total to 27.
* Greenbrier West 54, Notre Dame 7: Five different running backs gained at least 60 yards each, and the defense limited Notre Dame to 49 total yards as No.7 Greenbrier West defeated No. 10 Notre Dame in a rainy Class A first-round playoff game in Charmco.
The Cavaliers (10-1), who amassed 495 yards of offense, will visit No. 2 Marys in next week's quarterfinals. Date and time will be announced Sunday.
Senior quarterback Malik Boatwright ran for 108 yards and three touchdowns, and Jordan Tincher ran for 75 yards and two scores. Corey Cox contributed 72 yards and a touchdown.
The Fighting Irish (7-4), who turned the ball over four times, had only three first downs, all in the second half. Santino Cava returned a kickoff 85 yards in the first quarter for Notre Dame's only touchdown.
* Fairmont Senior 49, Keyser 28: Austin Norman threw four first-half touchdown passes to help No. 7 Fairmont Senior break the game open en route to a Class AA first-round victory over No. 10 Keyser in Fairmont.
