The 8th annual Mike Ellis Invitational high school wrestling tournament will take place beginning at 9:30 a.m. today at Hurricane High School.
Hurricane, Winfield, Riverside, Cabell Midland, St. Albans, Nitro, Herbert Hoover, Ritchie County, Lincoln County, Logan, South Charleston, Spring Valley, Poca, Johnson Central (Ky.), Oak Hill, Ravenswood and Huntington (junior varsity) will compete. Winfield is the defending invitational champion.
WVU TECH: The WVU Tech men's basketball team fell to St. Catharine's College 89-80 in the two Ramey Car Classic Friday in Bluefield, Va.
The Golden Bears (8-5) were led by senior guard Brandon Burgraff's 27 points. Tech will continue play at 4 p.m. today against host Bluefield College (Va.).
WVU SPORTS: Season tickets for West Virginia baseball will go on sale Monday at the Mountaineer Ticket Office.

MARSHALL BASEBALL: The Marshall University baseball team has announced time changes to its upcoming winter camps, moving both the hitting and pitching clinics to one session apiece.
The hitting clinic scheduled for today has been modified into one session for all ages and will run from 9 a.m. until noon.
The pitching clinic scheduled for Sunday has also been modified into one session for all ages and will run from 9 a.m. until noon. All clinics will be held in Gullickson Gym.
TECH WRESTLING: The WVU Tech wrestling team beat visiting Tennessee Temple University 46-9 Friday.
Senior John Walters led the Golden Bears (8-3) with a victory in the 149 lb. Weight class, scoring his fifth first-period fall of the season.
Freshmen Zach Nibert (174 lb.) and Tola Morakinyo (184 lb.) also recorded victories.
