WVU Tech looks to break a seven-game men's basketball losing streak in some familiar surroundings for many of its players.
The Golden Bears play at the South Charleston Community Center at 7 p.m. Saturday against Bluefield (Va.).
Tech (8-8) features four former South Charleston High School players on its roster - Ra'Shaud Kincaid, Jaren Marino, Hunter Moles and Eddie Gordon.
The Golden Bears have already lost to the Rams (6-2) once this season by a 97-62 count on Dec. 7 in Bluefield.
In that game, Tech junior forward Jauries Thomas had 22 points and six rebounds and Marino added 11 points and five boards.
Tech's last game was a 108-52 loss at Lindsey Wilson on Dec. 20.
Following Saturday's contest, the Bears face Lindenwood-Bellville on Jan. 10 at the Baisi Athletic Center in Montgomery. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
MU WOMEN WIN: Leah Scott tossed in 20 points and Marshall (6-6) forced 26 turnovers from visiting Davis & Elkins Tuesday in earning an 86-72 women's basketball victory.
For the Senators (2-10), Ashley Bowles had 15 points and Jorden Lykes 12.
The Herd led 40-6 in points off turnovers and 22-0 in fast-break points.
