Area roundup: WVU swimmers earn NAIA national rankings
WVU Tech swim team members Jack Cavanagh, Gabriel Grauwde and Matheus Montarroyos have earned Top 20 rankings for NAIA Division I swimming.
Montarroyos ranks fourth in the men's 500 freestyle with a time of 4:39.77 and fifth in the 200 freestyle with a time 1:42.95. Cavanagh ranks ninth in the men's 200 breastsroke (2:08.82) and Grauwde earned a 13th overall ranking in the 100 breaststroke (59.72).
MARSHALL BASKETBALL: Today's women's basketball game between Marshall and Tulsa, originally scheduled for 1 p.m., has been pushed back to 7 p.m. due to travel delays associated with inclement weather.
WVU SPORTS: The No. 3-ranked West Virginia University rifle team shot a season-high 4710 at Murray State's Winthrow Invitational Friday in Murray, Ky.
The Mountaineers (7-0, 5-0 GARC) shot 2378 in air rifle, a season high and just three shots short of their all-time record.
