Prep roundup: Cashwell leads South Charleston girls past Huntington 53-49

Chapmanville 67, Tolsia 39: Josh Butcher poured in 20 points and Kenny Plumley added 19 as Chapmanville (11-2) won at home. Tyler Stroud had a team-high 19 points for Tolsia (1-11).
Spring Valley 62, Cabell Midland 58: Jacob Kilgore erupted for 26 points as Spring Valley earned a road win. Austin Keyser chipped in 13 points for the Timberwolves (6-4). Coy Pettit scored 14 points for Cabell Midland while Mark Wilcox had 12.
George Washington 89, Ripley 56: Jon Elmore recorded 19 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds as George Washington cruised past visiting Ripley. Anthony Dean scored 11 points and Cai Carena contributed 12 points for the Patriots (9-2). Jameson Hunt led the Vikings with 14 points and Drew Harpold scored 13.
Buffalo 70, Cameron 60: John Hodges scored 18 points to lead Buffalo to a home win. Laythen Good and Brad Harries added 15 points each for the Bison (9-5). Logan Routt scored a game-high 24 points for the Dragons (8-5).
South Charleston 67, St. Albans 47: Brandon Knapper sank 15 points as South Charleston handled host St. Albans. Kentre Grier and Trey Clark both posted 11 points and Adrian Cunningham scored 10 to lead the Black Eagles. Jeffrey Seams and Quamise Carter each netted 11 points to pace the Red Dragons.
PikeView 76, Webster 63: Zach Meadows exploded for a game-high 31 points to lead visiting PikeView past Webster County. Jason Weitzel netted 16 points and Tanner Farley contributed 12 for the Panthers. Dalton Davis and Stephen Cogar both scored 15 points for the Highlanders (1-9).
Poca 73, Herbert Hoover 31: Poca, No. 4 in Class AA, hurried out to a 27-point halftime lead en route to victory at Herbert Hoover. Elijah Cuffee led the Dots' balanced scoring with 17 points, Luke Frampton added 13, Noah Frampton had 12 and Matt Chandler 10. Hunter White had 10 for the Huskies (2-10).
Scott 68, Sissonville 41: Scott built a 12-point first-quarter lead and breezed past visiting Sissonville. Anthony Sigmon led the Skyhawks (8-5) with 12 points and 12 rebounds, Eric May added 11 points and Logan Webb had 10. Cody Brown had 10 to lead the Indians.
Roane 69, Braxton 35: Jacob Neal scored 26 points, giving him exactly 1,000 for his career, to lead Roane County past visiting Braxton County. Neal is the third male in school history to reach that total. Isaak Wilmoth added 13 points as the Raiders improved to 11-2. Cody Hilton had 11 to pace Braxton (3-7).
Mount View 54, James Monroe 42: Mount View used a 20-point fourth quarter to pull away from visiting James Monroe. Rashawn Brooks scored 17 points and Juwan Diggs added 11 for Mount View (3-8), which led by just 33-29 after three quarters. Landon Shires scored 16, and Jacob McCoy had 12 for James Monroe.
Huntington 81, Nitro 58: Arick Nicks returned after a two-game suspension to score a team-high 21 points and Chancellor Wooding chipped in 18 points for Class AAA No. 2 Huntington (9-2). Neil Sallada scored a game-high 22 points for the visiting Wildcats (2-9) and Trevon Taylor added 16.
