Prep basketball: Frampton leads Poca past Nicholas County

Winfield 52, Poca 49: Chelsea Kirby scored 11 points and Karley Rogers added 10 as the visiting Generals held off a late charge from Poca. For the Dots (3-10), who trailed by 12 at halftime, Kendal Sayre scored a game-high 24 points and Harley Hutchins added 10.
St. Albans 56, Princeton 40: Torri Wilson netted a season-high 19 points for the visiting Red Dragons (12-4). Ashley Culicerto pitched in 19 points for the Tigers (1-14).
Woodrow Wilson 58, Oak Hill 41: Aaliyah Williams led the Flying Eagles (5-12) with 25 points. Kaitlyn Goodman led the Red Devils (5-12) with 19.
Greenbrier East 71, Point Pleasant 32: Lexi Tincher led the Spartans (13-1) with 12 points and Chaunte McDowell recorded eight points and 10 assists. Charlie Leach led the Big Blacks (0-18) with 12 points.
George Washington 56, Nitro 45: Hailey Stewart tossed in 18 points as visiting George Washington held off Nitro. Shionna Banks added 12 points for the Patriots. Savannah Shamblin led Nitro (11-5) with 22 points, including the 1,000th of her career, and Tiffany Reavis chipped in 11.
Scott 63, Mingo Central 45: Maddy Weeks dumped in 17 points as the host Skyhawks (10-4) pulled away from Mingo Central. Ali Whitman and Julie Conway each added 12 points for Scott, which led 30-26 at halftime. For the Miners (9-8), Hannah Church scored 12, with Ashley Curry and Kierra Hammond adding 10 apiece.
Hoover 49, Tolsia 43: The visiting Huskies trailed by four points then closed out the game on an 11-0 run in the last 2:01. Bailey Aab netted a season-high 19 points and Hannah King chipped in 15 for Herbert Hoover (12-1), which won its 11th straight. Savannah Winnett notched 19 points for the Rebels (3-12) and Jordan Presley had 10.
