Jacob Kilgore notched 23 points for the Timberwolves (9-6), who led at halftime 32-27 and held off the Class AAA No. 7 Cougars with a 49-45 second half. Josh Steele chipped in 14 points for Spring Valley and Austin Keyser 10.
Carrington Morris tallied 19 points for the Cougars (9-4) while Bryce Goldsmith pitched in 15 points and Jordan Kinney 14.
George Washington 75, Princeton 57: Jon Elmore exploded for 40 points, including eight 3-pointers, and added seven rebounds and seven assists as host George Washington coasted to a win. Alex Lewis chipped in 14 points for the Class AAA No. 10 Patriots and Dominik added 10. Aaron Ferguson led Princeton with 24 points.
Sissonville 81, Clay County 49: Blake Newhouse poured in 22 points and Seth Bowlin added 20 as Sissonville rolled at home. Chance Brown tossed in 13 points for the Indians (8-8). Stephen Cole's 13 points led the Panthers with Chris Cole adding 11 and Storm Carver 10.
Riverside 69, St. Albans 58: Tyus Wood tallied 21 points as Riverside secured a road win. Tamar Lawson chipped in 17 points for the Warriors. Phillip Hall paced St. Albans with 12 points.
Webster County 54, Richwood 52: Walker Rose, who finished with five points, hit a reverse layup with two seconds left to lift the host Highlanders past the Lumberjacks. Ben Weber knotted the game at 52-all with about 12 seconds to go for Richwood. Robbie Cogar scored 18 points for Webster (4-11) and Dalton Davis added 16. John Bard tallied 18 points for Richwood (5-9) and Weber had 14.
Point Pleasant 72, Cabell Midland 68: Wade Martin poured in 25 points as Point Pleasant won at home. Nick Templeton added 11 points for the Big Blacks (10-6). Coy Pettit had a team-high 13 points for Cabell Midland (3-13).
Teays Valley Christian 58, Cross Lanes Christian 44: Jeriah Joseph tossed in 21 points as Teays Valley Christian (16-7) won on the road. Also for TVC, Jace Heller had 14 points and Zack Moore scored 13. Brock Norman led Cross Lanes with 20 points.
Scott 78, Sissonville 61: Ali Jo Whitman scored a season-high 31 points as visiting Scott rallied in the second half and blew by Class AA No. 5 Sissonville. Landyn McKinney posted 16 points for the No. 10 Skyhawks (11-5) with Andrea Rankin (12) and Maddy Weeks (11) also in double figures. Karli Pinkerton paced the Indians (13-3) with 24 points and Madison Jones and Brittany Gould contributed 16 points each.
George Washington 81, Ripley 35: Alana Mobayed recorded 21 points and 11 assists as George Washington picked up a road win. Shionna Banks added 17 points for the Patriots (10-6). Chelsea Hager had 17 points for Ripley.
Herbert Hoover 51, Poca 46: Bailey Aab scored 10 points as Herbert Hoover (14-2) edged Poca at home. Casey Skeens paced the Dots (4-15) with 18 points.
