Girls roundup: GW clinches MSAC East title

Greenbrier East 82, Dayspring Christian 35: Chaunte McDowell posted 25 points and 10 rebounds as Greenbrier East cruised to a home win. Chloe Honaker netted 12 points and Lexi Tincher and Ellen Henthorn both scored 10 points for the Spartans (16-1). Abagayle Morrill led Dayspring (17-8) with 15 points.
Spring Valley 62, Winfield 48: Maddie Morris led the way with 19 points as the host Timberwolves used a strong second quarter to earn a win. For the Generals, Haylea Robinson scored a game-high 26 points.
Sherman 70, Greater Beckley 39: Jordan Lewis registered 26 points, nine rebounds and nine steals to lead host Sherman. Baylee Harless scored 13 points for the Tide (9-7). Brooke Matheny led Greater Beckley Christian (4-12) with 10 points.
Catholic 63, Wirt 35: Hannah Gallian poured in a game-high 25 points as Charleston Catholic handled host Wirt County. Vida Imani scored 13 points and Peyton Mullen chipped in eight points for the Irish (13-4). Megan Burns led the Tigers (5-16) with 15 points.
Teays Valley 61, Hannan 19: Rachel Kiser posted 20 points as host Teays Valley Christian rolled. Grace Kesler scored 14 points and Gabby Harrah 10 for Teays Valley (10-7). Heather Ellis led the Wildcats (1-14) six points.
Wayne 47, Grace Christian 42: Taylor Bartram scored 20 points to pace the visiting Pioneers.
Ravenswood 63, Doddridge County 40: Hailey Miller notched 22 points to lead the host Red Devils (11-4) past the Bulldogs. Haley Stephenson netted 17 points for Doddridge and Sierra Riffle added 12.
