George Washington 70, Huntington 55: Anthony Dean helped George Washington control the inside with 20 points and eight rebounds in a 70-55 victory over Huntington.
Elmore added 17 points for the Patriots. Dominik King added 10 points for GW, which opened up a 33-20 lead at halftime.
Anthony Meadow scored 19 points for the Highlanders while J.R. Howard chipped in 13 and Chancelor Wooding had 10.
GW went nearly four minutes without scoring to begin the third period and Huntington closed to six points (33-27). Elmore knocked down his only 3-pointer a minute and a half later to give the Patriots a 40-29 advantage with 2:35 to go in the quarter. The Highlanders pulled within nine points on a couple of occasions in the fourth, but couldn't get any closer.
South Charleston 78, Parkersburg 44: Freshman Aaliyah Dunham exploded for 33 points behind six 3-pointers to lead the Black Eagles past the Big Reds for their 13th win in the last 14 games.
Freshman ShyAnne Dunham dropped in 10 points for SC (17-3), which led 44-27 at the break. Kam Snyder totaled 13 points for Parkersburg (8-14).
