Former Marshall center Doug Legursky is following his professional football dreams with the Pittsburgh Steelers. That much is certain.
Ex-Thundering Herd quarterback Bernard Morris' path was not as well defined, as of Monday. His agent said it could take a jaunt north of the border.
"At this point, we're still talking with several teams," said Andy Simms, Morris' agent. "We were hoping to know by [Monday], but it looks like it will be a few days. We're also considering an option from a Canadian [Football League] team."
Legursky signed with the Steelers quickly after he fell out of the seven-round NFL draft. The Steelers announced the signing of 12 rookies Monday: Legursky, wide receiver/kick returner Dorien Bryant of Purdue, quarterback Mike Potts of William & Mary, linebacker Patrick Bailey of Duke, cornerback Roy Lewis of Washington, defensive linemen Martavius Prince of Southern Mississippi and Jordan Reffett of Washington, kicker Julian Rauch of Appalachian State, wide receiver Micah Rucker of Eastern Illinois, tight end Dezmond Sherrod of Mississippi State, cornerback Travis Williams of East Carolina and linebacker Donovan Woods of Oklahoma State.
