In their last three games, the Tigers have committed 60 turnovers.

Seniors lead the Tigers - 6-foot-7 forward Rashad Hassan (12.9 points per game), 6-0 Preston Blackman (10.1 points per game, 16 3-pointers) and 6-7 Arnold Louis (6.6 points, 6.6 rebounds). Jyles Smith, the team's tallest player at 6-8, averages 5.5 rebounds and has blocked 33 shots.

In addition to holding onto the ball, the Herd has to try to correct other season-long bugaboos such as missing close-in shots and free throws. And the Herd does not want to repeat the start of the Coppin State game, in which it fell behind 19-7.

"We've got to do that [take leads] early more often in games, start getting the crowd into it more, get ourselves into it more," said Elijah Pittman, who how has three 20-point games. "We can't wait until the middle or the end, to where we're playing catch-up all the time."
