HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Sophomore guard Chris Martin will transfer out of the Marshall basketball program, team officials announced Friday. 

 Martin was best known for hitting a go-ahead 3-pointer in the Thundering Herd's triple-overtime win over Tulsa last March in the Conference USA tournament. But he didn't even play in this week's tourney game. In fact, he did not appear in nine games in the league season, playing just 58 minutes in the other seven.

For his career, he averaged 2.6 points over 41 games.
