HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Blake Frohnapfel, stuck as Marshall's second-team quarterback behind Rakeem Cato for the last two years, announced his intention to transfer Friday via Twitter.
He did not say where he might be headed, but Frohnapfel - Twitter handle "FrostedBlakes15" - had a message for Herd fans:
"... No matter where I go, I will be always be a graduate of Marshall university, a Son of Marshall, and I will always Bleed Green."
Tight end Eric Frohnapfel, Blake's twin brother, did not announce any such plans himself. Eric Frohnapfel enters spring drills as the probable starter at tight end after Gator Hoskins used up his eligibility.
