Good move: Buffalo receiver making transition to quarterback

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Buffalo's Corey Good hurt Parkersburg Catholic last year as a wideout. Tonight, he gets the chance to do it as a quarterback.

Good, who switched under center this season following the graduation of Nick Harris, leads the Bison into Stadium Field in Parkersburg for a 7:30 date with the Crusaders.

Buffalo downed visiting PC 27-8 last year. In that game, Good caught five passes for 155 yards and a touchdown, including a 48-yard hookup with Harris.

Good ran for one score and passed for another in the Bison's 22-6 opening victory at Gilbert last week. Parkersburg Catholic was idle.

It marks the first game on artificial turf for Buffalo since a 14-6 loss to Catholic two years ago. Coach Mike Sawyer thinks only three or four of his current players appeared in that game.

"It's not a totally new experience,'' Sawyer said of playing on turf, "but I think it's always an advantage to anybody who plays there - just being used to it.''

Tommy Brunoni led the Crusaders last year with 895 yards rushing and eight TDs, and Jason Williams threw for 1,231 yards and six scores.
