Point Pleasant takes over No. 1 ranking in AA
Advertiser

Point Pleasant, coming off a perfect 4-0 week with three wins over ranked teams, has taken over the No. 1 spot in the Gazette's Class AA state ratings.

The Big Blacks (20-6) knocked Ritchie County out of the top spot after the Rebels saw their 10-game winning streak halted.

In the other divisions, Hurricane (26-4) remained No. 1 in AAA and East Hardy (25-5) switched places atop the Class A rankings with Charleston Catholic, last week's No. 1. The ratings will continue through the regionals.
