Alexander's status at Chapmanville in doubt
Advertiser

Running back Dashawn Alexander, expected to be one of the focal points of the Chapmanville offense this season, could miss playing time because of eligibility issues.

Tigers coach George Barker said that Alexander, who joined the team at midseason last year, may miss some regular-season games if it's discovered he doesn't currently meet SSAC residency rules.

Alexander, who played sparingly at St. Albans early last season, transferred to Chapmanville and had 391 yards and four touchdowns rushing, including a 125-yard, two-TD effort against Braxton County in the Class AA playoff quarterfinals.
