The playing status of George Washington running back Ryan Switzer remains in doubt as he recovers from a shoulder injury and concussion suffered last week. GW has a showdown with unbeaten Paul Blazer of Ashland, Ohio (2-0) on Friday.

His father, Michael Switzer, said his son has received medical clearance for his shoulder, but the concussion is another matter, and one that could be determined today.

"We don't know until we meet with the doctors and see what they're going to say,'' Michael Switzer said. "He doesn't have any symptoms and hasn't had any problems, but basically we've got to wait and see. It could be a game-time decision.''
