Emily Cole scored a pair of goals for Class AAA No. 3 Winfield, but it wasn't enough as the Generals lost 4-3 at No. 8 Parkersburg Tuesday in girls soccer.
Jayne Lawman had the other tally for Winfield (9-1-2). Taylor Hunkele, Kailey Cox, Connie Chefren, and Halie Hill notched goals for the Big Reds (9-3-2).
POCA 5, CROSS LANES 2: Marissa Perkins netted three goals as Class AA-A No. 14 Poca earned a road win. Harley Hutchins and Mariah Cook also had goals for the Dots (6-5-1). Taylor Mullins and Kelsey Wilmink scored for Cross Lanes Christian.
SISSONVILLE 9, SCOTT 0: Lydia Murray scored three goals to go with two-goal games by Addey Jordan and Madison Jones and lead Sissonville over visiting Scott. Karli Pinkerton, Courtney Strobel and Mary Schmeck each added goals for the Indians (13-2).
CAPITAL 15, SC 0: Capital had 10 different players score in a win against South Charleston. Ally Reeves (three goals), Katie Crowder (two) and Rebecca DiMarco (two) all had multiple goals for the Cougars (7-6), and Michelle Newhouse, Tracy Gibson, Lexi Brown, Morgan King, Emily Henry, Hannah Moore and Hannah Jack each added a goal. South Charleston (0-9-1) also had an own goal.
HOOVER 1, NICHOLAS 1: Melody Strickland scored in the 46th minute to help Class AA-A No. 10 Herbert Hoover preserve a draw with host Nicholas County. Serena Mullens netted the lone goal for the Grizzlies, who were outshot 14-9.
MIDLAND 5, ASHLAND 0: Charity Collins had a pair of goals to lift visiting Cabell Midland to victory. Emma Davis, Sarah Hudson and Jenna Cook also scored.
