CALVARY 63, HURRICANE JV 43: Trent Spears exploded for 23 points as host Calvary Baptist downed the Hurricane junior varsity.
Jace Heller added 14 points for Calvary (3-0). Branson Martin scored 18 points for Hurricane.

TOLSIA 68, MINGO 60: Tolsia limited visiting Mingo Central to just 13 points in the first half and beat the Miners in the opening game for both of the girls Class AA squads.
Krista Maynard led the Rebels with 27 points while teammate Savannah Maynard scored 23. Ashley Curry (12) and Miranda Evans (11) were the only Miners to score in double-figures as Tolsia held Mingo Central to just 21 attempts from the field.
TUG VALLEY 65, WAYNE 31: Whitney Evans-Kird scored 16 points and Andreana Vance scored 14 point as Tug Valley won at Wayne.
Hannah Armstrong (13) and Cassie Griffith (10) also scored in double-figures for Tug Valley (1-0). Taylor Bartram led the Pioneers (0-1) with nine points.
