  • HUNTINGTON 69, CAPITAL 57: Capital committed 18 turnovers and Huntington's Nick Tubbs scored a game-high 18 points to lead the visiting Highlanders (2-0) to the win Monday in boys high school basketball. Capital (0-1) got 17 points from Carrington Morris but no other Cougars cracked double-digits in the scoring column. Morris also led Capital with 11 rebounds.

  • HURRICANE 48, WOODROW 30: Abby Watson recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds for Hurricane in the road win. Taneisha Studivant chipped in eight points and 17 rebounds for the Redskins (1-1), while Audrey Barber and Cassie Sargent each scored eight. Kabita Francis had eight points for Woodrow Wilson (1-2).
  • NITRO 62, RIPLEY 40: Savannah Shamblin scored a game-high 19 points to lead visiting Nitro to the win at Ripley. Melissa Belcher added 11 points and Kelli Douglas had 10 in the win for the Wildcats (3-1). For Ripley (0-3), Chelsea Hager scored a team-high 12 points.
  • TOLSIA 46, CHAPMANVILLE 45: Jordan Presley and Savannah Winnett each scored in double figures to help lead Tolisa to a narrow win against visiting Chapmanville. Winnett also had a game-high 17 rebounds in the win for the Rebels. Chapmanville was led by the trio of Kaitlyn Hall, Jessica Rideout and Hillary Hainer, who each scored eight points.
  • HUNTINGTON 75, PARKERSBURG 49: Kiana Evans netted 23 points to lead the visiting Highlanders past the Big Reds. Ericka Budd pitched in 16 points, 11 rebounds and four steals for Huntington (5-0) while Alexis Williams had 13 points. Dominique Gibson grabbed 19 boards for the Highlanders. Megan Morrison's 17 points paced Parkersburg (2-2).
  • Monday's girls game

  • TUG VALLEY 48, BELFRY 41: Hannah Armstrong scored 16 points to lead Tug Valley past Belfry (Ky.) Monday in girls high school basketball. Adreana Vance added 11 points for the Panthers (3-0). Hannah Bailey netted 14 points for Belfry (0-4) while Emily Baker chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds.
